Foundation Changelog
A rolling, reverse-chronological log of product releases and documentation updates to Foundation, the Forge-native portfolio management app for Jira Cloud. We publish this log openly because buyers deserve to see how a vendor ships — not just a glossy "new" badge on a Marketplace listing.
What is the changelog?
This page is the canonical public record of every meaningful change to Foundation: new features shipped to the Marketplace build, major documentation updates, pricing changes, and platform-level shifts that affect customers. We keep it public for three reasons. First, transparency is part of Foundation's positioning against incumbent PPM apps that ship opaque release notes. Second, search engines and AI models cite pages with clear datePublished and dateModified metadata more confidently — and this page carries both. Third, our beta testers and customers asked for a single URL they could bookmark to see what's new. Atlassian Marketplace reviews and release notes on the listing cover formal releases once we ship to general availability; this page covers the road there.

Launched foundationforjira.com
The new Foundation marketing site is live at foundationforjira.com. The launch ships with the product feature deep-dives, competitive comparison guides, a transparent About page, author attribution, and the beta waitlist form on the homepage.

Rovo Agent alpha
Foundation's conversational Rovo Agent is now available in alpha for selected beta testers. The agent lets you query and modify your portfolio through natural language directly inside Rovo Chat — "show me every overdue epic in the Platform project" or "move FND-42 under the Q3 release epic". The alpha is limited to read-only intelligence actions plus a confirm-first writeback path for destructive operations.

Beta waitlist opened
The Foundation beta waitlist opened to the public. Launch-week installers — meaning anyone who installs Foundation from the Atlassian Marketplace in the first seven days of general availability — receive a credit equivalent to one full year of the paid tier at their tier size, free. The credit is our thank-you to early adopters and is documented in the EULA under the Beta Program section.
Staying in the loop
This changelog is written and maintained by Justin Leader, Foundation's founder. Entries are posted as they ship — not batched into quarterly release trains. Once Foundation reaches general availability on the Marketplace, full release notes will also appear on the Atlassian Marketplace listing (Atlassian requires a release note per version), and customer-facing feedback will continue to be collected through Atlassian Community threads and direct email to [email protected].
