Reorder & resize

Column layout in Foundation is fully interactive. Drag headers to reorder, drag column edges to resize, and toggle text wrap from the column menu. Changes save per view — so each view of the same lens can have its own layout.

  1. Grab the column header of the column you want to move.
  2. Drag it left or right across the grid.
  3. A drop indicator appears between columns — release to drop.

The Summary column is pinned to the left and can’t be moved (it’s the tree column). Every other column is freely draggable.

  1. Hover over the right edge of any column header until the cursor changes to a resize handle.
  2. Drag left to narrow, right to widen.
  3. Double-click the edge to auto-fit the column to its contents.

Column widths are remembered in the view config — as long as you save the view afterwards.

If you scroll horizontally and lose sight of which row is which, freeze the left side.

  1. Click the three-dot menu on any column header.
  2. Choose Freeze columns to pin everything from Summary through that column.
  3. To unfreeze, repeat from any frozen column and pick Unfreeze.

Cells truncate to a single line by default. For columns with long values (Summary, labels, description-based fields), you can wrap text:

  1. Click the three-dot menu on the column header.
  2. Toggle Wrap text.

Wrapped rows automatically grow to fit their content in the current density mode.

Layout changes are staged in the browser until you save them to a view:

  1. Rearrange, resize, and wrap as needed.
  2. Click Views in the toolbar.
  3. Pick Save current view to overwrite the active view with your layout, or Save as new… to create a variant.
