Split mode
Split mode lets you view the grid and another visualization — the Gantt timeline — side by side. Scroll both panels together, click a row in the grid to highlight its bar in the Gantt, and drag the divider to give whichever side more room.
Use split mode when you want to keep the grid’s details on screen while also seeing the timeline shape of the same work.
Turn split mode on
Section titled “Turn split mode on”- Open a lens.
- In the toolbar, click Gantt (or the timeline icon) to enable the timeline.
- The workspace splits: grid on the left, Gantt on the right.
Rows stay aligned between the two panels. Selecting a row highlights its Gantt bar; selecting a bar scrolls the grid to the matching row.
Resize the panels
Section titled “Resize the panels”- Hover the vertical divider between the grid and the Gantt.
- The cursor changes to a resize handle.
- Drag left to give more room to the Gantt; drag right to expand the grid.
The split position is remembered on the lens, so your next visit opens with the same ratio.
Turn split mode off
Section titled “Turn split mode off”Click the Gantt toolbar button again to collapse the timeline. The grid expands back to full width.
Tips for working in split mode
Section titled “Tips for working in split mode”- Narrow your columns. Split mode halves the grid’s horizontal space — hide low-value columns or switch to a compact view to keep Summary and Status legible.
- Use
Compactdensity. In the toolbar density control, pickCompactto fit more rows per screen when the viewport is tight. - Zoom the Gantt. Use the zoom controls (day / week / month / quarter) in the Gantt toolbar to match the scale of your portfolio.
